BGSB University has the distinction of being the only University in the State to have the Department of Applied Mathematics. The Masters programme in Applied Mathematics was launched in the year 2005 as full time, 4 semester programme. The Department has very rich library, well equipped Computer laboratory and a spacious Seminar hall. Along with providing high quality teaching in Mathematics the Department concentrates in raising moral values of students to prepare them to serve the society better. The faculty of the Department is young and dynamic involved in research. Besides formal class teaching, the Department organizes Guest lectures, seminars, student conferences etc. for better development of students.
